Job summary

New Directions Mental Health in Wexford, PA is seeking a Prescriber Medical Administrative Assistant (PMAA). You will be the heart of the clinic, handling client calls, scheduling, coordinating care, and supporting prescribers.

This role requires strong communication, empathy, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain meticulous patient records while collaborating with the Transformations Care Network team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Patient and empathetic attitude with ability to multitask.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Computer skills with Google Drive familiarity.
• Phone handling skills including multi-line systems.
• Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and provide accurate, satisfactory information to clients.
• Guide clients through troubleshooting for telehealth appointments.
• Call insurance for prior authorizations and copay information.
• Assist providers with administrative tasks and scheduling.
• Coordinate care between clients and providers.
• Schedule client appointments and manage logs.
• Prepare client files for providers and support site operations.
• Support therapists and psychiatric providers as needed.
