Job summary

Humble Hearts Academy Preschool & Infant Center is seeking a passionate TK Teacher to join our enthusiastic team. You will craft and deliver lesson plans, implement our early education curriculum, and assess children's development while maintaining a safe, welcoming classroom.

Ideal candidates are devoted to early childhood education, flexible, and collaborative, able to support families and work well with staff in a caring, positive setting.

Qualifications

• Background check required
• Up-to-date immunizations
• Negative TB test
• High School diploma required; AA in ECE preferred
• 12 ECE units OR 6 ECE units with current enrollment in ECE courses

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver lesson plans and implement curriculum
• Maintain a clean, healthy, safe environment
• Communicate positively with students, parents and staff
• Collaborate with teachers to promote student well-being
• Assist with personal needs (diaper changing, potty training)
• Supervise during nap time
• Assist with kitchen/duties as needed

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING:

• Create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum, and assess developmental needs of students.
• Maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment.
• Communicate positively with students, parents and staff.
• Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school, and collective/individual interest of its staff and student body.
• Serve and monitor meals
• Assist children with personal needs such as diaper changing, potty training, hand washing
• Supervise children during nap time
• Assisting with any duties as needed by the program such as dishes, cleaning, and laundry

WHAT’S REQUIRED:

• Pass a background check
• Up to date on immunizations
• Negative TB testHigh School diploma required. AA in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• 12 ECE units OR minimum of 6 ECE units and currently enrolled in ECE courses
• Must be willing to change diapers and potty train
• Ability to stand up and sit on the ground for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
