Job summary

Cadence Education in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Preschool Teacher to support daily classroom operations under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher. You will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, addressing the developmental and behavioral needs of young children, including those with IEPs.

You'll partner with families, follow Cadence curricula, and participate in trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment where children are treated with dignity and respect.
• Greet children and families daily and establish welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental and learning needs, including following IEPs.
• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and document incidents.
• Assist in managing and escalating child behaviors as per Cadence policies.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development.
