Job summary

Steamboat Springs School District RE-2 seeks a Preschool Instructor Long Term Substitute at Strawberry Park Elementary School from 11/01/2026 to 06/03/2027. This hourly position typically runs 35–40 hours per week with a pay range of $29.28–$33.65 per hour.

You will support developmentally appropriate activities and early learning goals. SSSD emphasizes Accredited with Distinction and a collaborative, family‑centered approach.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and 12 months (1820 hours) of direct child care experience.
• Able to sit/stand/walk with students and lift/move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, MS Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Classroom preparation and management at the start/end of each day and year.
• Plan unit themes and prepare materials for all projects.
• Create and adapt the learning environment to support development.
• Provide individual and small-group instruction in the classroom.
• Communicate with parents through technology throughout the day.
