Early Learning Indiana, Inc. seeks passionate childhood educators for our IU Health center in Indianapolis. This full-time, non-exempt role offers developmentally appropriate teaching using Creative Curriculum and a supportive team.

We value strong relationships with families, safe learning environments, and ongoing professional growth. Compensation starts at $18.15–$21 per hour with full benefits and career development opportunities. Our centers are open year-round, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or higher preferred
• CDA or equivalent required
• 2+ years of working with young children

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate developmentally-appropriate lessons

What will I do?

• Plan and facilitate developmentally-appropriate individual and group lesson plans powered by Creative Curriculum structured by our Theory of Teaching and Learning (ToTaL)
• Collaborative with Classroom Support Professionals to bring your lesson plans to life through engaging and inclusive play based learning approaches
• Complete child development observations via Teaching Strategies
• Establish warm and responsive relationships that allow each child to feel recognized, acknowledged and secure
• Maintain a healthy, safe and clean environment and ensure all state licensing rules and regulations are adhered to
• Develop trusted relationships with families by communicating on a regular and ongoing basis to relay information about each child's day

What do I need?

• A passion for early childhood education and knowledge of developmental best practices
• Be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the children and center
• Be able to build and nurture relationships with children and adults
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or higher preferred
  • Child Development Associates (CDA) or equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience leading an early childhood classroom preferred
  • 2+ years of working with young children required

Our centers are open year round Monday-Friday. Full-time positions are nine hours shifts with a one hour lunch break. Part-Time positions can offer more flexible scheduling.
