Indiana University Bloomington Campus View Child Care Center is seeking a part-time Campus Child Care Support staff member. The role supports teachers, supervises infants and toddlers, and maintains a safe, engaging environment in a Bloomington campus setting.

The position offers 29 hours per week maximum at $12.25 per hour, with benefits and development opportunities through IU’s ECES program.

Qualifications

CAMPUS CHILD CARE SUPPORT (BL-CCCS-IUBLA)

This position is located at the Campus View Child Care Center.

Education

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).

Preferred

• Coursework in child development.

Work Experience

• Experience working with infants and toddlers.

Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Ability to relate well to young children and is sensitive to children's needs.

Physical Requirements

This role regularly requires the ability to effectively communicate, handle equipment, remain stationary and ascend/descend ladders or stairs, and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. The person must be able to detect items in close proximity as well as far away, discern between colors, detect objects in the peripheral space of self, discern items in detail, and have good depth perception. The role requires the ability to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
