Job summary

Cadence Education in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Preschool Teacher to support daily classroom operations under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment and assist with Cadence Education programs, including supporting children with IEPs and implementing curriculum.

The role emphasizes building positive relationships with children and families, maintaining safety and licensing compliance, and participating in trainings and development

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures including Name-to-Face accountability, food allergy processes, bottle-feeding and Safe Sleep practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and establish welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs including IEPs and behavior plans.
• Support Lead Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents/incidents.
• Assist in managing, documenting, and escalating child behaviors per policies.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development.
