Job summary

NBCC in California seeks an Associate Teacher for our early childhood program. The role requires 2–5 years of ECE experience or 12–24 ECE units, or a CTC Associate Teacher permit, with at least 6 months classroom exposure. You’ll work with a collaborative teaching team and follow supervision and program policies.

Employee growth is supported, with required safety trainings and ongoing evaluation by Head Teacher and Site Supervisor. This role involves both indoor and outdoor activities.

Qualifications

• Associate Teacher permit or higher with at least 6 months classroom experience.
• If not possessed, must obtain CDA permit or higher within 6 months of NBCC employment.
• Work collegially as a team member and respond to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to NBCC policies and maintain a professional environment.
• Obtain Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR certifications as required.
• Support classroom setup, supervision, and safety per licensing rules.
• Collaborate with Head Teacher and Site Supervisor on staffing and coverage.
• Engage with parents and maintain open, respectful communication.
