Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc. seeks an Associate Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education team.

The role focuses on caring for and educating children aged 0-5, collaborating with center staff to implement developmentally appropriate activities, and supporting instructional staff, parents, and volunteers. Requirements include 12 ECE units or CDA credential, 6 months' relevant experience, and a current Associate Teacher Permit or higher.

Competenze

12 ECE units completed with grade C or better or CDA credential or CTC.
6 months related experience with children ages 0-5 years.
Associate Teacher Permit or higher required.
Choose one: CDA credential California equivalent; CDA program within 2 years; or associate/bachelor's degree or enrollment in such a program.

Mansioni

Provide care and education for children 0-5 in a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with Center Supervisor and teachers to plan activities.
Cover classes in teachers' absence and guide instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers.
Maintain a safe, clean, nurturing environment for all children.
Assist in planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities.
Participate in activities with children, including games, music, and outdoor play.
Assist with bus supervision and children's safety during transport.
Complete pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training within 30 days.
Complete 16 hours of training on health practices and nutrition within 30 days.
