Job summary

Child Abuse Prevention Council is seeking an Associate Teacher in Stockton, CA to support a quality preschool/Infant-Toddler program under supervision of the Classroom Teacher. Responsibilities include health, safety, curriculum planning, and family collaboration.

Qualifications include 12 ECE units or a CDA/AA in ECE, a valid Teacher Permit within 60 days, and 2+ years of relevant experience with young children. CPR/First Aid is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: Twelve units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or CDA credential or AA degree in ECE or related field.
• Valid Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or receipt of application within 60 days of hire.
• Two years of relevant experience teaching/working with children (ages 0 to 5) and families.
• CPR/First Aid Pediatric certification within 60 days and retaken every two years.

Responsibilities

• Represent the agency in a consistently professional manner and model its mission.
• Promote teamwork between Early Education Services, staff, volunteers and families.
• Develop mutually beneficial relationships to support CAPC's vision and values.
• Maintain compliance with CAPC policies, funding rules and licensing standards.
• Provide for safety, health, and nutrition of children per Head Start and CACFP.
