Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant in Brookfield, CT. You will support daily classroom activities, follow Cadence programs, and help create a safe, nurturing environment for children including those with IEPs.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant.
• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment for every child.
• Greet children and families and build welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and addressing individual developmental and learning needs per IEPs.
• Support planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with families using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow Safety and Supervision Manual and document incidents as required.
• Assist with reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Participate in meetings and trainings beyond regular hours.
