Job summary

Cadence Education in Oswego, IL is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Education programs under supervision. You’ll help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment, helping children’s physical, social, emotional, and behavioral development, including those with IEPs.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures including allergen, feeding, and Safe Sleep practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment for every child.
• Greet children and families daily; build professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental and learning needs, including IEPs and behavior plans.
• Support planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual; document accidents and incidents per policy.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to all Cadence policies in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development.
