Job summary

Cadence Education in North Aurora, IL is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence programs under supervision. You will help create a safe, nurturing learning space for children, including those with IEPs, while ensuring licensing compliance.

You’ll foster positive relationships with families and staff, participate in developmentally appropriate curricula, and engage in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures including allergy processes and Safe Sleep practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment and treat each child with care, dignity, and respect.
• Greet children and families daily and build welcoming relationships.
• Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents per policy.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
