Job summary

CPCD seeks a Preschool Teacher Assistant in Colorado Springs to assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering safe, high‑quality activities that promote school readiness and child development in partnership with families. This position runs Aug–May with summers off.

This full‑time role offers a stepwise pay scale from $17.59 to $22.34 per hour and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), tuition assistance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential or Level II ECE credential required.
• First Aid and CPR certifications within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
• Support safety and supervision of children during classroom, meals, and transitions.
• Foster social and emotional development through guided play and positive reinforcement.
• Communicate with families about child progress and classroom activities.

Education
