Job summary

CPCD seeks a Preschool Lead Teacher to guide early childhood learning within a Head Start setting in Colorado Springs. You will plan engaging experiences, maintain a safe environment, and collaborate closely with families to promote school readiness.

The role includes supervising staff and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Required are an Associate degree in ECE or related field and Director Qualified, with an option to obtain it if not held.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in ECE or related field and Director Qualified or willing to obtain immediately.
• Experience teaching in early childhood education and implementing curriculum.
• Must lift/carry up to 40 pounds and hold First Aid/CPR within first year.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement learning experiences advancing the development of the whole child.
• Establish a safe, healthy learning environment and collaborate with families.
• Provide daily supervision for assigned classroom staff.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements.
