Job summary

CPCD invites applications for an Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant in Colorado Springs. You will assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers, under the guidance of the lead teacher, while maintaining a safe, healthy classroom and strong family partnerships.

You will help with set-up, supervision, and routine care, plus participate in ongoing professional development to align with CPCD policies and Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential or Level II credential required; within two years of hire must obtain.
• First Aid, CPR, and medication administration certifications within 90 days.
• Must lift up to 40 pounds and have reliable transportation.
• Background check and pre-employment screening required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Classroom Teachers in planning and implementing activities for infants and toddlers.
• Assist the lead teacher with setup of learning environments and materials.
• Maintain safety and supervise children during activities and transitions.
• Communicate with families and document children's progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Support hygiene, diapering, and basic caregiving routines.
