Job summary

CPCD is seeking an Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher in planning developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers in Colorado Springs. The role emphasizes safe, high-quality experiences and family partnerships to promote school readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential or Level II required with 2-year timeline to obtain.
• First Aid, CPR and medication administration training within 90 days.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to perform duties.
• Willingness to complete post-employment checks and training as required.

Responsibilities

• Support Classroom Teachers and assist lead teacher with activities.
• Promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Prepare learning materials and maintain a safe, clean learning space.
• Assess child progress and adjust activities to individual needs.
• Maintain supervision and safety during all transitions and activities.
• Assist with diapering, toileting, and feeding routines following health guidelines.
• Engage with families and provide updates on child progress.
