Job summary

Cadence Education in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Signature Programs. Under the direction of the School Director, you will help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children, including those with IEPs.

This full-time role emphasizes collaboration with a classroom team, adherence to safety policies, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred, but not required if state licensing requirements are met.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant.
• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment with care and dignity for each child.
• Greet children and families daily and build professional, welcoming relationships.
• Identify and respond to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral support plans.
• Support planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents/incidents per policy.
• Assist with documenting and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to Cadence Education policies and the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, which may occur outside regular hours.
