Job summary

Cadence Education is looking for a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities under supervision of the School Director and Lead Teacher. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment and ensure developmentally appropriate activities are delivered.

The role requires effective English communication, teamwork, and following safety procedures, with licensing requirements and background checks. CDA is preferred but not required if state requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to follow safety procedures including health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and addressing individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs including IEPs.
• Support planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents/ incidents.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors.
• Adhere to Cadence Education policies and participate in meetings and trainings.
