Primrose School of West McDonough is hiring a Preschool Teacher to join our team and guide young learners through balanced, engaging activities. No nights or weekends required. Perfect for individuals new to teaching, with comprehensive training and a digital learning platform to support instruction.

Position emphasizes nurturing care, family communication, and growth within a joyful, safe classroom. Salary ranges from $14.00 to $18.00 per hour, with on-site scheduling across varied shifts.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check including fingerprinting.
• Georgia DECAL health and safety training completed on onboarding.
• State-required pre-service orientation before working alone with children.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 45 days of employment.
• Ongoing annual training hours as required by the state.
• Documentation of good physical and mental health.
• Preferred: CDA or related education/certificate; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with preschool-aged children preferred; training provided for career switchers.

• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning space

• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
• Support children's individual learning needs and encourage their social and emotional growth

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass a satisfactory comprehensive background check (including fingerprinting) before working with children
• Must complete Georgia's 10-hour DECAL-required health and safety training (completed during onboarding if hired — no action needed to apply)
• Must complete the state-required pre-service orientation before working alone with children
• Must obtain current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within the first 45 days of employment (we help schedule this during your two weeks of onboarding)
• Must complete ongoing annual training hours as required by the state
• Must provide documentation of good physical and mental health to safely care for children
• One of the following is preferred: a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, a Technical College Certificate in ECE, or equivalent education and experience
• Experience working with young children is strongly preferred, ideally with preschool-aged children
• If Seeking Career Switchers: no prior experience required — training will be provided
