Preschool Teacher - Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience - Oak Creek, WI
Pay: $17-$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
The Learning Experience - Oak Creek is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom of children approximately 2.5-3 years old.
This is an exciting stage of early childhood development. Children are building language, independence, friendships, self-help skills, and confidence as they prepare for the preschool years. We're looking for a teacher who can create a nurturing, structured classroom while turning children's natural curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily routines and learning experiences for children approximately 2.5-3 years old
- Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create engaging experiences through art, music, movement, sensory play, literacy, and hands-on exploration
- Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence, developing self-help skills, and positive peer relationships
- Support toileting readiness and classroom transitions
- Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
- Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with classroom support teachers and center leadership
- Follow Wisconsin childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous professional daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with older toddlers or preschool-age children preferred
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements
