Job summary

Community Development Institute Head Start is seeking a Preschool Teacher to educate, care for, and inspire young learners in our Head Start program using a variety of developmentally appropriate teaching methods.

The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education (or related coursework) and can meet state licensing requirements within the required timeframe.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent coursework.
• May be enrolled in an associate/bachelor’s degree program and must obtain degree within a reasonable timeframe after hire.
• Must meet state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

Teacher Preschool $21.00 on Waiver $21.50 AA ECE $22.00 BA ECE

Our vibrant Head Start Preschool Teachers educate, care for, and inspire the young minds at our Head Start, using a variety of teaching methods. If you are a teacher who has patience, compassion, and energy to help children succeed, As a minimum requirement, applicant must have an associate or baccalaureate degree in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent coursework. Applicant may also be enrolled in an associate or baccalaureate degree program in early childhood education, or related field and must be able to obtain the degree within a reasonable timeframe after the initial date of hire. Applicant must meet state licensing requirements.
