Community Development Institute Head Start is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher for its Early Head Start program. The role requires a CDA or comparable credential and coursework focused on infant/toddler development, with compliance to state licensing rules and annual trainings.

We are looking to employ a qualified Infant/Toddler Teacher, who has a passion for instilling values in young children in our Early Head Start program. The Infant/Toddler Teacher should possess high energy and the ability to handle the demands of babies and toddlers with different personalities and needs. As a minimum requirement, the applicant to be a teacher must have a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential and have been trained or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Applicant must meet state licensing requirements.

Must complete all trainings required by child care licensing, including but not limited to
the following:
a. Ongoing Training: Staff must participate in annual training on child safety, mandated
reporting, and emergency procedures (Title 22, §101216.2).
b. Mandated Reporting: All employees are mandated reporters of suspected child abuse
or neglect (Title 22, §101212(d))

PAY RATE Depending on Education:

CDA in Infant/Toddler - $25.45 hourly

AA in ECE - $26.67 hourly

BA in ECE - $29.10 hourly
