Job summary

Early Learning Indiana is seeking energetic teachers for our Fort Harrison center to deliver engaging early childhood education. Candidates must hold a CDA or an Associate degree in ECE or higher, with a strong commitment to child development and family engagement.

You'll plan lessons, observe progress, and collaborate with staff to create a safe, inclusive learning environment while maintaining licensing standards and building trusted family relationships.

Qualifications

• Active CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education required.
• 1+ years leading an early childhood classroom preferred.
• 2+ years working with young children required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate lessons using Creative Curriculum.
• Collaborate with Classroom Support Professionals to deliver lessons.
• Complete child development observations via Teaching Strategies.
• Build warm, responsive relationships with each child.
• Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean classroom, following licensing rules.
• Communicate regularly with families about each child's day.

OurTeachers support our mission by creating enriching lessons that stimulate developmental growth and foster a welcoming environment where children can thrive. They collaborative with Classroom Support Professionals to enact their vision for the classroom.

Our Teacher position requires an active CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential or Associates Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education. If you do not meet this requirement, please consider applying for our Assistant Teacher position.

What will I do?

• Plan and facilitate developmentally-appropriate individual and group lesson plans powered by Creative Curriculum structured by our Theory of Teaching and Learning (ToTaL)
• Collaborative with Classroom Support Professionals to bring your lesson plans to life through engaging and inclusive play based learning approaches
• Complete child development observations via Teaching Strategies
• Establish warm and responsive relationships that allow each child to feel recognized, acknowledged and secure
• Maintain a healthy, safe and clean environment and ensure all state licensing rules and regulations are adhered to
• Develop trusted relationships with families by communicating on a regular and ongoing basis to relay information about each child's day

Requirements

What do I need?

• A passion for early childhood education and knowledge of developmental best practices
• Be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the children and center
• Be able to build and nurture relationships with children and adults
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or higher preferred
  • Child Development Associates (CDA) or equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience leading an early childhood classroom preferred
  • 2+ years of working with young children required

Our centers are open year round Monday-Friday. Full-time positions are nine hours shifts with a one hour lunch break. Part-Time positions can offer more flexible scheduling.
