Early Learning Indiana is hiring for a Teacher position at our Center for Infants and Toddlers on 16th St. We offer competitive hourly pay and full-time benefits for a role focused on developmentally appropriate lessons and warm family engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate developmentally-appropriate individual and group lesson plans powered by Creative Curriculum structured by our Theory of Teaching and Learning (ToTaL).
• Collaborate with Classroom Support Professionals to bring lesson plans to life through engaging and inclusive play-based learning approaches.
• Complete child development observations via Teaching Strategies.
• Establish warm and responsive relationships with families by communicating regularly about each child’s day.
• Maintain a healthy, safe and clean environment and ensure licensing rules are adhered to.
• Open year-round; full-time nine-hour shifts with a one-hour lunch break; part-time with flexible scheduling.

Our Teacher position requires an active CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential or Associates Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education. If you do not meet this requirement, please consider applying for our Assistant Teacher position.

What will I do?

Requirements

What do I need?

• A passion for early childhood education and knowledge of developmental best practices
• Be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the children and center
• Be able to build and nurture relationships with children and adults
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or higher preferred
  • Child Development Associates (CDA) or equivalent required
• 1+ years of experience leading an early childhood classroom preferred
  • 2+ years of working with young children required

Our centers are open year round Monday-Friday. Full-time positions are nine hours shifts with a one hour lunch break. Part-Time positions can offer more flexible scheduling.
