Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an energetic Preschool Assistant in Honolulu, Hawaii to support daily classroom lessons, supervise student interactions, and assist with small-group instruction and assessments. You will help with snack preparation, attendance, materials, and maintaining a safe indoor/outdoor environment.

The role may require evening/weekend hours and travel to various locations, including neighbor islands, as needed to support program needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Able to organize a high volume of varied work activities.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Maintains certifications as required for program needs.
• Work may involve traveling to various locations, including neighbor islands.
• May require evening and weekend hours.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

• Prepare daily snacks, sanitize, and maintain classroom centers, materials, and equipment.
• Participate in workshops, in-services, and curriculum development.
• Assist the Teacher with Extended Day or Regular Day Preschool Programs.
