West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking an ITINERANT AIDE/EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM ASSISTANT TEACHER for a PreK/Kindergarten setting at Frankfort Elementary School. The role involves supporting teachers, assisting in classrooms and on buses, and working with young children to build foundational skills.

Salary ranges from $27,895 to $42,460 based on 200 days, with potential supplements as per Mineral County School Salary Schedule; non-exempt with 200-day calendar.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (WV Code §18A-2-5)
• Meet WV Code qualifications and pass state competency requirements
• Criminal background check required under WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10
• ECCAT I, II, or III certificate issued by WVDE required or eligible

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with planning, prep, and distribution of classroom materials
• Conduct learning games with students in line with procedures
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with laws and policies
• Maintain a safe classroom environment conducive to learning
• Supervise students during bus duties and ensure safe transport
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction as directed
• Support lessons aligning with district and school objectives
• Assist with supervision in various school locations including cafeteria and bus areas
