Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking an ITINERANT AIDE/EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM ASSISTANT TEACHER for grades 1-3 at Frankfort Elementary School. The role involves assisting teachers in Pre-K or Kindergarten settings, with direct student interaction in small groups or one-on-one contexts, and may include bus supervision and transportation duties.

The position is non-exempt, 200 days per year, with pay grades E or F based on experience and education, and supplements per Mineral County salary

Qualifications

• Hold WV ECCAT certificate (I, II or III) as required by WV Code
• Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code
• State-required competency test completed as applicable

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with planning, prep, and distribution of materials
• Provide individualized or small-group instruction to reinforce skills
• Supervise students in classroom and bus environments as assigned
• Maintain safe, orderly classroom and school areas
• Support bus duties and student supervision as needed
• Attend in-services and trainings as directed
• Uphold Employee Code of Conduct and district policies
