The position is non-exempt, 200 days annually, and salary is determined by Pay Grades A–F per the Mineral County Salary Schedule, with potential supplements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, pursuant to WV Code §18A-2-5.
• Meet the definition of Qualifications in WV Code §18A-4-8b and pass state competency test.
• Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials.
• Conduct learning activities and games with students.
• Maintain attendance and comply with state laws and county policies.
• Provide a safe, supportive environment for students.
• Supervise and assist with bus duties and student transportation safety.
• Support teachers with individual and small-group instruction as directed.
