Job summary

Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking a DESE-licensed preschool special education teacher for a substantially separate classroom at CHIPS for the 2026-2027 year. This long-term substitute role runs from 10/30/2026 to 4/30/2027 (dates may change) and involves evaluating students, developing IEPs, data collection, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in Special Education.
• Certification in Early Childhood Education and Moderate Disabilities preferred.
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate children to determine eligibility for special education.
• Develop and implement IEPs in a substantially separate classroom setting.
• Collect data and write progress notes for students.
• Plan and implement lessons.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the preschool coordinator.
