Job summary

The ESC of Eastern Ohio Consortium seeks a Preschool Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 assignment area in Austintown Township, OH. The position is 9-month, 28 hours per week, with report times 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, aligning with the preschool schedule.

Starting wage is $15.73 per hour with annual step increases per the OAPSE agreement. Reports to Building Principals and the Special Education Director; evaluations follow the OAPSE contract.

Qualifications

• Must have valid BCII and FBI background checks on file before starting.
• OEA permit with ESEA endorsement required.
• Completion of required compliance training courses.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students individually or in groups in various school settings.
• Assist in a self-contained special education classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality and enforce classroom behavior as directed.
• Support with classroom management duties and small group instruction.
• Attend required CPI trainings as assigned.
• Perform clerical tasks and assist students with computer use.
