Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement.
• Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks.
• Rapback Enrollment through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
• Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Training and Reporting.
• Negative drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student(s) individually, in small or large groups in various settings.
• Assist in a self-contained special education classroom.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Provide leadership by enforcing pupil behavior as directed by the principal.
• Ensure students are in a safe, secure environment at all times.
• Employ strategies to manage student behavior and conflicts.
• Assist with classroom management and small group instruction.
• Attend CPI training and refresher courses as assigned.
• Possess computer skills to assist students or perform clerical duties.
• Operate office equipment and support staff tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by building staff.
