The position requires an Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement and background checks. It offers a 9-month contract with a 5.75-hour day and a starting hourly rate of $15.73, subject to annual step increases.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement.
• Background checks: BCII (State) and FBI (Federal).
• Rapback Enrollment through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
• Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Training and Reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student(s) individually or in groups in various school environments.
• Assist in a self-contained special education classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Enforce pupil behavior per building principal instructions.
• Ensure students are in a safe, secure environment.
• Employ strategies to manage behavior and conflicts.
• Assist with classroom management and small group instruction.
• Attend CPI training as assigned.
• Possess computer skills to assist students or for clerical duties.
• Operate office equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administrators.
