Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist to join a single elementary school in Thornton, Colorado. This onsite contract supports a diverse PreK population with collaboration from multidisciplinary teams and parents to meet IEP goals.

The role involves direct therapy, assessments, and progress monitoring, focusing on expressive/receptive communication, social pragmatics, and AAC. Start ASAP until May 21, 2027, at 37.5 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado SLP license required.
• SLP-CCC or CF credential welcomed.
• Experience with preschool/PreK students preferred.
• Experience supporting non-verbal students is a strong asset.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to complete district contractor packet before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy and intervention to preschool-aged children.
• Work closely with classroom staff and parents to support each student's IEP goals.
• Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and comprehensive evaluations as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting expressive/receptive communication, social pragmatics, AAC, and more.
• Document services, maintain records, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment focused on student growth.
