Job summary

Children's Choice Academy in Lakeside, CA is seeking an experienced Preschool/School-Age Teacher (Driver) to join our preschool program. The role includes implementing the curriculum, creating engaging activities, and maintaining a safe classroom environment for preschool and school-age children.

The position also requires transporting children to and from schools and approved locations, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, including: Child Development, Child, Family & Community, plus one additional ECE course and one elective course.
• Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Must meet company driving and insurance requirements.
• Pass DSS background clearance and Mandated Reporter Certification.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement the company-selected curriculum and create engaging learning experiences for preschool and school-age children.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with classroom themes and developmental goals.
• Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and inventory according to company standards and licensing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and company policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, development, and daily activities.
• Address parent concerns professionally and collaboratively.
• Work closely with fellow teachers and leadership team members to support program success.
• Ensure active supervision and safety of children at all times, indoors and outdoors.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities.
