Job summary

Children's Choice Academy in Escondido, CA is hiring a School-Age Teacher (Driver) to implement age-appropriate curricula and supervise children both in the classroom and during transportation. This full-time, hourly role supports preschool and school-age programs and requires reliable transportation and safety-conscious leadership.

The candidate will plan weekly lessons, maintain a safe environment, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 12 ECE units, including: Child Development, Child, Family & Community, plus one more Child Development course and one Elective.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Clean driving record; meet driving and insurance requirements.
• Comfortable transporting preschool and school-age children and following safety procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Preschool Teacher, School-Age Teacher, or ECE.
• Ability to pass DSS background clearance.
• Current Mandated Reporter Certification.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Willingness to learn new technology and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement the company-approved curriculum and create engaging activities for preschool and school-age children.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with themes and development goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and daily activities.
• Supervise children during transportation and ensure safety at all times.
• Operate in compliance with licensing regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership to support program success.
