Job summary

Academy of Excellence Learning Center in Lancaster, CA is seeking a dependable Preschool Transportation Driver to join our team, helping transport preschoolers safely to and from the center and maintain daily logs. You will ensure daily safety and nurturing routines for our youngest learners in a structured environment.

You will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assist children on and off, and communicate with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass a background check and DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.
• Experience working with or transporting young children is a plus.
• Patient, responsible, and attentive demeanor with a strong commitment to child safety.
• Ability to follow schedules reliably and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport preschool-aged children to and from the learning center on scheduled routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure bus or van safety and compliance.
• Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle safely.
• Maintain accurate attendance and transportation logs for each route.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and center staff regarding pick-up and drop-off.
• Follow all traffic laws, child passenger safety regulations, and center policies.
• Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and properly maintained.
