Job summary

The Gardner School of Powell is seeking a School Program Coordinator to lead daily operations, ensure compliance with state and local regulations, and uphold school policies. You will oversee administrative duties, open/close duties in absence of directors, and prepare timely reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or related field.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for Assistant Director qualifications (education and experience).
• Minimum 2 years in a licensed child development program, with at least 1 year as a teacher or supervising a childcare program.

Responsibilities

• Manage the School in conformance with all state and local regulations and The Gardner School policies and procedures.
• Open and close the school in the absence of the Executive School Director and Assistant School Director.
• Prepare and forward reports in accordance with The Gardner School policies and procedures.
• Assist in tracking inquiries and convert inquiries into parent tours of the school.
• Maintain professional and positive relationships and communication with parents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum, and software.
• Provide additional classroom support during high volume times.
• Lead and teach children through all activities of the day, ensuring an enjoyable, well-rounded experience in absence of teaching staff.
• Ensure that classroom and playground equipment is maintained in good repair.
