Job summary

Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) in Palo Alto, CA seeks a Preschool Program Manager to oversee 4–5 classrooms, guide teachers with the SHEVA framework, and support curriculum development. Strong leadership and Hebrew language experience are valued.

Responsibilities include leading curriculum planning, coaching teachers, creating training, and ensuring staffing coverage. Year-round positions with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• 24 ECE/CD Units must include core coursework (child growth and development; child, family, and community; and program/curriculum).
• 16 General Education Units must include humanities/fine arts, social sciences, math/science, and English/language arts.
• 6 Specialization Units focused in infant/toddler care, bilingual development, or exceptional needs.
• 2 Adult Supervision Units cover supervision of adults in a classroom setting.
• Minimum five years of preschool teaching experience with curriculum leadership or staff supervision.
• Experience with Hebrew language immersion education preferred.
• Jewish studies background or knowledge of Jewish traditions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 4–5 classrooms including Ulpanon and Gesher.
• Lead team meetings for curriculum planning, documentation, and problem-solving in childcare.
• Supervise, coach, observe, and evaluate teachers with ongoing feedback and growth trainings.
• Create, design, and lead workshops and training focused on program goals and best practices.
• Provide classroom coverage as needed to meet staffing and ratio requirements.
