Job summary

Launchpad Preschool in Florida is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Director in daily administration, supervision, and operation, ensuring a safe, organized, and high-quality environment compliant with Florida DCF standards.

You will help manage center operations, staff scheduling, classroom coverage, training, licensing readiness, family communications, and budgeting, stepping in during Director absence when qualified.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Meet Florida DCF requirements for child care personnel.
• Complete required background screening.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR certification when required.
• Maintain credentials for assigned duties.
• Experience in licensed early childhood setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director with the daily operation of the preschool.
• Assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, breaks, opening procedures, and closing procedures.
• Monitor staffing to maintain staff-to-child ratios.
• Provide coaching and support to teachers and other employees.
• Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
• Ensure compliance with Launchpad policies and licensing requirements.
• Communicate significant concerns to the Director.
• Assume delegated administrative responsibilities when qualified.
