Job summary

Minto's Casa Novi is seeking a warm Preschool Assistant Teacher to support our Montessori classroom for children ages 2.5 to 6. You will assist the Lead Teacher in implementing activities and maintaining a nurturing learning environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (an Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education is preferred) and Montessori experience. Work hours are 7:00 am–3:00 pm or 10:00 am–6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Montessori experience preferred.
• Montessori certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the curriculum and activities.
• Support children in daily routines, including work time, transitions, and outdoor play.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
• Observe and support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
• Foster independence, respect, and a love of learning in each child.
• Prepare and maintain classroom materials and learning areas.
• Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.

Position Overview

We are seeking a warm, patient, and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Teacher to support our Montessori classroom serving children ages 2.5 to 6 years. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in the Montessori philosophy. This role involves assisting the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Desired Work Schedule:

We are looking for candidates who can work either 7:00 am to 3:00 pm or from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
