Heartprints Montessori Preschool in Tempe is seeking a full-time assistant teacher for our Toddler Room (ages 1–2). You will support daily learning with a Montessori-based curriculum and work with a team of toddler teachers to create a safe, engaging environment.

Responsibilities include building rapport with children and parents, organizing activities, supervising routines, and maintaining classroom health and safety.

Formación

• CPR/First Aid certification is required or current.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• TB test cleared within last 12 months.
• Background check cleared.
• Attendance at monthly staff meetings (sometimes outside of work hours).
• State requires 18 hours of professional development per year.

About This Role

Our Montessori child care and preschool facility is looking for a full time assistant teacher for our Toddler Room ages 1-2.

Our Montessori child care and preschool facility is looking for a full time assistant teacher for our Toddler Room ages 1-2. The teacher will be responsible for monitoring and teaching children ages ranging from 1 to 2 years old, implementing a Montessori-based curriculum that the children will respond to positively and partnering with the other toddler teachers to enhance the learning environment at our school. Candidate must be good with children ages 1-2, able to handle groups of children, able to maintain a safe environment, able to clean/organize/disinfect, be energetic, and be able to jump in wherever and whenever there's a need.

What You\'ll Do

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents
• Create and implement activities that are fun and educational for the children
• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child
• Maintain the health and safety of every child in your care
• Monitor day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, bathroom breaks/diaper changes, lunch time and rest time for students

Requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Cleared TB Test result from within the last 12 months
• Cleared background check
• Attend monthly staff meetings (sometimes outside of work hours)
• Attend trainings for professional development (18 hours per year required by the state)
