Job summary

Cadence Education, a network of 340+ schools, seeks a Preschool Assistant Director in Durham, NC to lead a 20–40 educator team. You will ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality learning experiences while building strong parent connections.

Role requires 3–5 years teaching leadership, a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field, and licensing compliance. Full‑time with excellent benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Proven success as an Assistant Director at a large school.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on teaching experience.
• Meets state licensing standards, including criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
• Education/experience in: Bachelor’s + 6+ months in group childcare, OR BS in Early Childhood Education.
• Deep knowledge of national/state education standards, licensing, fire, health and OSHA regulations.
• Strong grasp of USDA Nutritional Standards for Schools.
• At least 21 years old with corporate driving requirements met.

• Ensure licensing, safety and sanitation standards, plus federal and state regulations.
• Spearhead hiring, training, and performance reviews for your team.
