Job summary

Crossover is hiring a Preschool Head Teacher to lead a Pre-K classroom in a dynamic, play-based program across NYC Manhattan or Chicago, IL. The role focuses on emotional safety, curiosity, and measurable developmental growth.

You will design rich, experiences that build literacy, numeracy, and life skills while partnering with families to support each child's development in and beyond the classroom.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher, or any U.S. state teaching license or certification.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children ages 3-5 in a play-based classroom.
• On-site work full-time at Manhattan, NY or Chicago, IL with relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Design joyful, sensory-rich learning experiences building early literacy, numeracy, self-regulation, and social development.
• Create a classroom where every child feels emotionally safe and excited to come to school.
• Observe development in real time, document meaningful progress, and personalize learning.
• Adjust activities to each child's interests and developmental needs to ensure measurable progress.
• Partner with families to share growth and support development beyond the classroom.
