Job summary

YMCA of South Palm Beach County seeks an experienced Lead Teacher at Devos Blum Family YMCA in Boynton Beach to implement Creative Curriculum and the Reggio Emilia philosophy, ensuring a nurturing, safe indoor and outdoor environment for preschoolers.

Responsibilities include coordinating lesson plans, collaborating with staff and parents, following licensing guidelines, and maintaining ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree from an accredited college/university or a current FCCPC/ECPC
• Mandatory 40-hour DCF courses, Early Literacy and Fire Extinguisher training
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Ongoing continuing education 24 hours of in-service required annually

Responsibilities

• Implement Creative Curriculum and Reggio Emilia philosophy while providing a nurturing, supervised environment for preschoolers
• Communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues
• Plan learning through play and structured curriculum; adapt to licensing guidelines and safety requirements
• Collaborate with Director of Child Development and maintain readiness skills across multiple subject areas
