Job summary

Dominique Dawes Academy is seeking a Junior Gymnastics Coach to lead weekly classes for children aged 9 months to 5 years. The role emphasizes a high-energy, engaging coaching style and a commitment to safety and holistic development.

No prior coaching experience is required; we provide all training and mentorship in a supportive team environment. Availability on weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends is needed; indoor gym setting with active child engagement.

Qualifications

Minimum age 16.
No prior experience required; training provided.
Background as a student of gymnastics, cheer, dance, or movement-based discipline is a plus.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification provided by the company.

Responsibilities

Instruct weekly gymnastics classes for preschool children ages 9 months to 5 years.
Create a welcoming, supportive class environment aligned with holistic child development.
Follow class plans, skill progressions, and safety protocols.
Provide age-appropriate instruction that balances challenge and fun.
Offer spotting and corrections to support skill development and safety.
Engage with parents before and after classes to provide feedback and build community.
Maintain a clean training space and assist with setup/teardown of equipment.
Monitor children and respond promptly to injuries or safety concerns.
Collaborate with teammates and management for smooth class transitions.
Attend staff trainings, team meetings, and evaluations.
Represent the academy’s values in all interactions.
