Job summary

Dominique Dawes Academy in Ashburn, VA is seeking a joyful Junior Gymnastics Coach to lead preschool classes for ages 9 months to 5 years, teaching foundational movements, building body awareness, and nurturing a lifelong love of active play in a caring, child-centered environment. Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years old.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Background as a student of gymnastics, cheer, dance, or movement-based discipline is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Instruct weekly gymnastics classes for preschool children ages 9 months to 5 years.
• Create a welcoming and supportive class environment aligned with the academy’s philosophy.
• Follow class plans, skill progressions, and safety protocols.
• Provide age-appropriate instruction that challenges athletes while encouraging progress and fun.
• Offer verbal and physical spotting and corrections to ensure safety and skill development.
• Positively engage with parents before and after classes to provide feedback.
• Maintain a clean and organized training space and assist with setup/takedown equipment.
• Monitor kids closely and respond promptly to injuries or safety concerns.
• Collaborate with teammates and management for smooth class transitions.
• Attend required staff training sessions and team meetings.
• Represent the academy’s values of respect, teamwork, and excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
