Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Preschool Teacher to support a safe, nurturing early care program for children ages 3–5. Under the Child Care Director’s supervision, you will implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Delacare requirements and collaborate with families to set learning goals.

You will adapt teaching methods, maintain records, and participate in professional development to ensure a high-quality, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience applying current Delacare requirements and early childhood practices.
• Ability to plan developmentally appropriate activities for ages 3–5.
• Proven skills in communicating with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and operation of a quality early care program.
• Implement Delaware Early Learning Foundations-based curriculum.
• Set learning goals with families and tailor activities to needs.
• Coordinate indoor/outdoor space for safe, creative play.
• observe and document children's progress and adapt as needed.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development.
