Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Preschool Teacher to assist with developing and operating a quality early care program compliant with Delacare requirements. Under the supervision of the Child Care Director, you will help implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum and collaborate with families to set learning goals.

Qualifications

• Early childhood administration certification required.
• Must be 20+ years old and able to drive an 8-passenger van.
• Must pass FBI clearance and background checks per Delacare.

Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with current research and best practices in child development and guidance.
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum using Delaware Early Learning Foundations.
• Plan for individual learning goals with families and adapt for varying needs.
• Arrange indoor/outdoor spaces to support creative play and safety.
• Observe and document children's performance, behavior, and development.
• Attend professional meetings and trainings to maintain professional competence.
