Job summary

St. Louis Park Public Schools in Minnesota is seeking a Preschool Educator 2 for Kids Place Preschool. The role supports a 1.0 FTE position (8 hours per day) within the Community Education framework, focused on creating a safe, inclusive learning environment for children aged 33 months to 5 years.

The position reports to the Kids Place Preschool Supervisor and emphasizes developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive teaching with collaboration among staff, families, and specialists.

Qualifications

• Required: one year of related childcare experience.
• Preferred: Child Development Associate's degree (CDA) or a Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Must pass Department of Homeland Security background check every 3 years; ability to obtain/maintain DHS clearance.
• First Aid and CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing learning environment reflective of each child’s identity and culture.
• Support development across cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language domains through play and guided activities.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and specialists to support children’s needs and well-being.
• Maintain accurate classroom and program documentation and participate in professional development.
